Advice I Wish I’d Received Earlier in My Career

Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t try to be perfect in everything. I wish I hadn’t worried so much about the little things. It could have me saved me time to focus on things that matter most.

My Dream Job If I Weren’t at Ceres Talent

I always wanted to be a ballerina. I started dancing when I was eight years old, and ballet was my life for many years. I practiced so many hours a week. When I got to high school, my parents told me all the practicing was affecting my grades and I wouldn’t have time to study, so I gave it up. I still dream about dancing, but I don’t regret how my life turned out. I still remember the butterflies I had in my stomach every time I went on stage. Now I get butterflies watching my kids dance. I’d like to think that I’m not the kind of dance mom you’d see on reality TV, but rather the kind of cheerleader who takes great pride in helping others succeed.

My Very First Job

I worked in a hotel stand in the airport greeting guests who were arriving in my hometown. Iguassu Falls is one of the most-visited destinations in Brazil. Working with guests helped me so much with my English, as most of the guests were coming from overseas. I was able to practice my English every day and made many friends along the way. It was a great learning experience that eventually led me to another job, which I held throughout college, and allowed me to buy my first car.
